When we build a website for a client we take pride in our training program that allows users to handle their website updates themselves. However, many times a small business owner simply doesn’t have the time or desire to keep their website running smoothly and securely.

At North Country Design we offer three plans that allow you to choose from that include website maintenance, website hosting, weekly site backups and website security. At this time these packages are only for customers who have their website professionally designed by North Country Design.

Simple Monthly or Yearly Recurring Plans

The standard monthly rate of $30 ($299 if paid annually) includes 24 annual hours of content updates. This translates into exactly 2 hours of content updates per month which is usually enough for most of our clients. There is also the $50 monthly plan ($499 if paid annually) which will give you 48 hours of content updates per year or 4 hours per month.

Some Clients Prefer Our “Pay As You Go” Pricing

Our pay-as-you-go hourly rate ideal for clients who prefer paying only when the need specific service. While our monthly plans are a much better value and we encourage our clients standard monthly plan which includes 1 hour of content updates costs only $40 per hour. While this option keeps people out of a monthly contract (which is very appealing to some) it can also be very expensive if we need to put a large amount of hours into a fix.

Our Backup Process

Our weekly website backup is your best defense against website outages and viruses. Your vehicle probably has a spare tire. If you’re lucky, its something you never use and forget about. Even though spare tires are usually hidden in some obscure pocket of your trunk or strapped to the underbelly of your car, having it available at a moment’s notice gives you the relief that it’s there when something bad happens.

At NCD, we think of website backups the same way. If you website has a problem, gets hacked (it can happen!), or needs to be restored to it’s previous version – we have the backup ready to deploy.

Website Security

The most important service of them all, site security is designed to remove any threats and external code injections from your pages. If your website is compromised it could be very dangerous, hackers could steal sensitive personal data (credit card numbers, verification codes, passwords etc.) and create a lot of unnecessary headaches. We use a program called Wordfence and we monitor all downtime and site outages. If there is a problem, we fix it!
